  1. Ha! Timely. Appropriate. I really hope attorney Whittington pulls through. News today was sorta rugged… For a shot pellet to enter the blood stream and lodge in the heart, makes the wounds sound more than 'minor' and 'superficial.' Looking closer at your illustration, I can see where the VP could get confused… both have a sorta head feather/tassel thingie. I should know what that's called… what with the quail being California's state bird and all. Nice job.

  2. Oh my Tony, you are brilliant!!! This belongs on the Daily Show…You should email it to them.I am going to use your little email feature and send it to everyone… I can't stop giggling!!! Yes, it should be simple but however nothing seems to be for this administration.

  3. LOL! Funny thing is I ran into Mrs. Cheney with her two secret service dudes that same week end in St. Michaels. Otherwise I don't really think about them.

  4. The fact that pellets were able to penetrate the heart causes me to ask if Cheney was as far from the victim as he claims…And that day's wait to notify authorities…were they waiting for his BAC to return to normal?

  5. Hilarious!!! I'm still wondering if the poor guy was a Democrat, or knew too much about something he shouldn't. Perhaps the fact that he was a lawyer was enough of a reason for Cheney…? *G*

  6. This is great! Very CREATIVETONY. Do a series of these and you'll have a book and I'll buy it! Plenty of presidential faux pas to choose from…

  7. Aw, hell, we both did pretty much the same thing. Yours has a better setup, but hey, I've got excuses! Anyway.I'm sure this happens a bunch, especially now that 8,623,524 people do Illustration Friday every week.
